People love to hear music they can relate to. It’s a fact. Music can be an inspiration and a motivator generating excitement and good times. Alternatively, it can be more discreet as background music, creating a mood or developing a theme.
What should be the first impression as guests arrive? For example, classical music sets the scene for a sophisticated event, laidback jazz makes it more relaxed, latin guitarists may reflect the festive, summery vibe of the French Riviera or you may choose something traditional.
The full music programme will probably strike a balance between live musicians, and pre-recorded music. It will set the scene for the event, then step up the tempo as and when appropriate. There should be a main attraction to make the event stand out, then a lasting impression, if necessary, to prolong the partying through the night with a live band or DJ.
